time

Post by pitter » Thu Apr 13, 2017 7:51 am

time is going on
time is going wrong?

The server is running at the time zone CEST (Central European Summer Time). At the moment it is 7:48.

In my profile I have also the same timezone, which means UTC+2:00 (at least in summer).

I guess all times in the forum are shown in the local time, even if the timezone in your profile is f.e. UTC+1:00.

I may do some research at this topic later.

Interesting.

When I am not logged in, I see my post as 12:07am.
Then when I log in, I see 11:07pm.

It's obviously time-space convergence.... because my bike is faster than yours

Hi Steve,

your bike is obviously faster than my deauville, but it is a deauville, and it is a blue one! :-)

Your observation is right and has to do with time zones. All timestamps are stored in universal time (UTC).

If you are not logged in, the software show the local time, as there is no other information available.
After you logged in, it shows the time in your given profile, which is 1 hour difference.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Peter
