Tours

The guided tours will show you the most beautiful villages and landscapes of the Odenwald. You will experience the countryside and it will be possible to take photos (if you want) on the tour. We will ride at a leisurely pace, so that each motorcyclist can ride without risk within the group. We will stop at break points by individual group-arrangement.

All the tours will start at the agreed time from the parking area of the THW, situated in the Pleutersbacher Strasse at the exit of Eberbach - see the map at the bottom of this site.

On the tour days there will be a cup of coffee or tea available starting from 8 o’clock, so we can chat before the start of the tours. This may be the kickoff into a perfect day with your motorcycle.

During the DMD-Odenwald-Team-Challenge the Start and also the Presentation Ceremony, will be at the THW parking, with the Winning team announced.

Tour 1: Heidelberg-Odenwald-Tour (170 kms)

During this tour we will ride through the Southern part of the Odenwald on curvy and low-frequented roads. It´s approximately 60 kms to Heidelberg.

In Heidelberg we will visit the most important parts of the famous castle. From the terrace we can take a look down on to the well-known Old Town of Heidelberg.

Back on the road we will ride along the Neckar and with many, many curves we will reach the heights of the Odenwald. In the late afternoon we will be back in Eberbach. 

On tour there will be enough photo-stops and if you would like, time to have lunch or to get a snack.

Tour 2: Odenwald-Tour (230 kms)

This tour will give you many impressions of the origins of the landscape, which is characterized by hills, valleys and many small creeks. We will ride on some very curvy roads, which were used as uphill race tracks until 50 years ago. Today, these roads are closed to motorcycles at weekends.

Again and again we will ride near these viaducts of the Odenwald-railway.

On tour there will be enough photo-stops and if you would like, time to have lunch or to get a snack.

We will stop at old fashioned inns or motorbike meeting points.

Tour 3: Odenwald-DMD-Team-Challenger (195 kms)

Discover the region by yourself!

You will get the gps-file of the recommended route. On tour the teams will get different tasks and questions.

You will ride together with 2 -5 motorbikes as one team

Timetable:

  • Starting time from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Latest return to the starting point in Eberbach: 4:00 p.m.
  • Presentation Ceremony at the starting place (THW, Pleutersbacher Strasse) at 4:30 p.m.
