Englisch translation

Oyez, Oyez, Oyez! ye honoured guest of the ancient Eberbach,

I, Dietrich, the herald of the ancient imperial City of Eberbach, with my squires, in the service of our
most gracious Lord and King, Henry VII, of the race of the Staufers, am sent to you to make known
the message, as is customary from time immemorial. Even the citizens of this City may hear and
persist in their doing!

In addition to this, all the people of the house, who had been the cause of this great City, were
pleased to establish this city, in AD 1227, as a community with schools, jurisdiction and decree, and a
dairy, where the Neckar , reaches its most beautiful position.

Peter the son of Reichert, who lives here in the house of the Council, with much prudence and long-
suffering, is well served here, and most certainly has the honour of your visit. The High Council of the
City also appreciates your coming and greets you with great reverence.

We are especially welcome to say to all the wives and companions of this community, which is called
"Deauville meets Deauville," and who, with pride and great joy, rejoice in their desire to drive that
fellow on the wheels, driven by the power of many dozens of horses, from the Stable of the Honda.
Every year, they say to us, they hurry together, from many nations. We call the number nine to make a
great convention of reunion, always in places of great importance, so this year in the City of our King:
Eberbach.

Especial salutation to those of you who are loaded and bear responsibility for this rice and convent,
and who call themselves: Michael Hausmann, also Martin Thonemann, ergo Steffen Schulz and Peter
Leinen, as well as Clemens from the clan of the Heck, all blessed with cleverness and understanding.
With joy our Lord Henry shall be upon you all; I, too, Dietrich, offered a fresh greeting.

Hear also the highly praiseworthy, new saying which I have ordered to be made known to you:

The old town of Eberbach, the jewel of the great river, gave protection to all the people on the local
territory. This securitized law shall apply as long as one would linger here.

Come, however, in remote districts and hamlets, where you have your dwelling-place, ever dull sense
over you, so tied to the chariots, saddle the former horses, and go to Eberbach, and there dwells here
everywhere your mind and joy flashing out of your eyes.

The heart and hand, the cellar and the memory of the citizens are open to you. Pray yourselves to the
pleasures of this City, which it has in its great abundance, offer openly your bags, so that the hostess
will meet you with kindness. Sing and dance, and do your wives well, so that you may prosper, and
take no pity on your soul. Take what may be received by the mouth, and then spread good news from
Eberbach.

Remember this invitation often, as we know that this Eberbach has always been a jewel of the empire,
and our Lord Henry proudly praised his possessions.

To be authenticated and informed to Eberbach on the 14th day of the moon Junius, anno domini two
thousand and seventeen years.

Greetings to all of you and a very joyful Cause!
